“There’s no tens at the table”

Dating Talk podcast on the youtube channel called “Whatever”, which, not going to lie… we are so jealous that they have that handle on youtube. Dating talk discusses dating (if that wasn’t obvious enough)

In this heated debate on Dating Talk, the chairs almost end up flying. Well no that’s a little too dramatic…Cups!!!… Cups were close to being thrown at people.

Exclusivity in Relationships

The interviewer asks the panel if they were to be seeing someone and that a moment arises when said partner lays out some guidelines for exclusivity. One of those guidelines is that you do not go out to parties. Man oh man did it get heated in that seemingly well-air-conditioned room.

Most Ladies mentioned that they would not enjoy that as it would take away their time from being around their friends. One lady however stood out and mentioned that she doesn’t listen to men. Her reasoning was that why should it only apply to her if the man is probably going to do those very things, which is a valid point.

She would consider accepting the ultimatum if he too doesn’t do those things mentioned. If only one partner is not allowed to do something, how then is it fair to the framework of the relationship that the other partner practices the very thing being frowned upon?

Something really funny though about this particular podcast is that there seemed to be tension between two participants. To the point where one participant cusses (swears) at the other after a bit of a heated exchange of words. Whether this is an exchange of arrogance and ego, we can not say. We can only assume that they are very passionate about their points.

Relationship Roles

A beautiful point was brought up about roles in a relationship by one of the male panelists. He mentions that the roles are being seen as a way to suppress and oppress a partner. However, the aim of these roles is to protect the entire relationship. He also reels in the issue of equality, not hating it but saying that if he were to be in a relationship with any one of the ladies in the panel. If they were to be in the same room and hear something downstairs like a possible burglar. He wouldn’t say “Okay babe, it’s your turn…equality, go get em”. He would be the one to get out of bed and to make sure that he protects his loved one. Please watch this video to see an accurate example of what we are referring to

Where are the 10s?

On a much lighter note, The interviewer asked the ladies to rate themselves out of 10 and most of them gave themselves a rating of less than ten but more than six. One mentioned that every one of the ladies present at the table are 10s. This is a very sweet gesture however, the interviewer turned and said that there are no 10s at the table.

This was of course not mentioned in a very offensive manner. He admitted that yes, they are attractive but he would not for any reason give them a rating of 10. This caused quite a bit of a stir and he elaborates that should one rate themselves as a 10, then they are rating themselves at a level of a model with an official modeling contract and be on magazine covers. One interesting thing is that one of the viewers mentioned that there’s a difference to judge one’s self objectively and subjectively. While still loving yourself and being able to understand your flaws. Nobody is perfect
